Prison conditions are poor, and the corrupt judicial system makes the legal process inefficient.
Gifted with a young population and backed by $50 billion of revenue from remittances and outsourcing, the Philippines is getting an additional boost from Duterte’s $160 billion-infrastructure plan aimed at creating jobs.
The Philippine economy grew by an impressive 7.8 per cent, putting it above China in terms of economic expansion.
In spite economic growth of the Philippines, the general wages are considered very low by most of them, who prefer a future abroad.
