London Illustrations

Mono-printing, using a fine liner pen to draw the texture of The National Gallery building.
Used the original mono-print of The National Gallery and inverted the design, using the scanner.
Inspired by Elena Romanova's "Watercolor Cityscape" drawings. I used iconic London vehicles and made an abstract piece, using her dripping style with the watercolours for my illustration.
Sketch of a building near Coventry Street.
Sketch of an area near Trafalgar Square.
Inspired by Emanuel M.Ologeanu's "Old Street" ink illustration on a book page. I used similar techniques by diluting the ink to get the shading and tone for my illustration on a black and white newspaper.
I used vibrant transparent papers to make an illustration of the Nelson's Column statue in Trafalgar Square. I used this paper so I could blend different colours together by overlapping them on newspaper, which made my design more vibrant and abstrast.
Illustration of Piccadilly Circus using acrylic paint. I wanted to make it simple but realistic and unique at the same time.
I explained more about my inspirations, techniques, thoughts and the process for this project in the link below:
