Digby's Fine Chocolates

During this project, you will design a unique, eye-catching visual identity taking into account all relevant aspects such as signage, packaging, livery, stationery.
This project is designed to enable you to gain an understanding of what creating a visual identity for a brand involves and to recognise the importance of relevant ideas generation and research on a theme in order to come up with individual, eye-catching solutions.

You will be provided with the subject for your identity.

Having spent his early working life with the Royal Marines and after a spell selling boats in Hong Kong, Digby finally settled on opening a Chocolate shop in Norfolk! Now, some twenty years on we have three shops and a website selling the most amazing confectionery available. We pride ourselves in offering a fabulous range of tantilising delights from the very upmarket Belgian and English chocolates to the superb liquorice treats from Finland and Holland plus everything delicious in between.
My concept for Digby's Fine Chocolates was to bring an interesting and relevant approach to their brand. They pride themselves on everything being completely handmade & I felt that this was the most true factor I could use to give them a new identity. Making chocolate can be quite a messy job and being handmade, not every individual chocolate is the exactly the same unlike factory produced chocolates. I took the element of the making and used it across a number of different packages to show how the concept could work on a larger scale.
Digby's is a confectionery, so as well as chocolates they also sell a variety of sweets & liquorice. Vibrant colours will be brought into the sweet section of the shops while sticking to traditonal colours for the chocolate boxes.
