Veronica Green was born in New Zealand in 1984 however her heritage is also a mixture of Italian and Polish nationality. She has completed a Fine Arts Honours Degree at Massey University, Wellington and lives and works in Venice.

Throughout her life, art has been a visual vehicle to express herself, to articulate ideas when they go beyond the range of spoken language.
Her mixed ethnicity has given her a receptiveness which has been a major influence in her work and has driven her towards her passion for culture.

Her artwork is influenced by nature, floriography, symbology, religion, architecture, fable, fairytales, myth and history leading up to the present. fusing together, myth, politics and history with the present. Using Mixed Media on canvas her work aims to revive or recognise themes relating to freedom and to transport her viewer into a painted window of liberation.
