Now, how many times did you have to import an image or a screenshot in Photoshop because you weren’t able to accurately pick colors outside of the app window? Same here. Countless times.
Frank DeLoupe was born to solve this problem and offer a seamless integration of system-wide color picking with Photoshop, basically as an extension of its eyedropper tool. It’s a loupe that throws picked color right back to Photoshop with no further copy-paste-memorize-fail-swear-loud workflow.And it does that via Remote Connections, a fantastic feature available from Photoshop CS5 (12.0.4) on.
Along the way, we thought it might help to have Frank also do some color-code picking as well, but it’s really just a utility feature. It sure will come in handy when you’re in a hurry though.
