T Y P O
It is created to remember that behind a touch of keyboard, a background of true typography craft is hiding.
T Y P O project is an open source typographic press simplified that combine a set of typo (3D) to make typographic engraving even at home. We have sought to revive typography as a technique with the tools of the digital world: restore the materiality of the letter.
We are inspired by typical techniques of typography know- how of the time, we designed a simplified machine in order to experiment with new techniques of composition and typographic printing.
My contribution since the beginning is human centre concept, making sure the size, typography and machine was easy to use and funny to play with. We work in the production of the press and alphabets, designing it in Fusion 360 and built it thanks to the CNC machine and 3D printing. Also, I helped as Photographer and Video Editor for the KissKissBankBank crow funding campaign and during the social media campaign on Facebook.
Thanks to the successful social media campaign, we had articles by different graphic designers authors, one of the most important is from the journal étapes. Previously, we had the opportunity to participate, as expositors, in the Colloque international de Typographie 2016 and 2017 in Paris
