Currently the housing career of social potentials can be considered static compared to their dynamic social and economical position. In the beginning young people demand a small and very affordable apartment within an urban environment. Soon small upgrades of living space are demanded. For example a family expansion or a job promotion. The building block is a combination of the Dutch building block typology with a greenhouse system. Apartments start at 52 m2. Inhabitants can let their home grow with 12 m2 per upgrade. The building grows towards his social core. An upgrade will improve the individual living environment and will strengthen the social ties within the neighborhood. The DIY technology and methodology assure a smooth process of growth. In the plinth of the building a sport centre is situated.
