James & The Giant Peach
The brief asked for two covers for the children's book James & The Giant Peach by Roald Dahl.
The first of my solutions took it's inspiration from the section in the book where the peach smashes through a rainbow sending coloured shards tumbling towards the earth. I chose this as alot of the other entries that I had seen were heavily influenced by the film adaptation of the novel however the smashing of the rainbow was cut from the film, meaning that it was unique to the printed version.
The second solution aimed to encourage the child to engage with the book by allowing the child to colour the cover for themselves. The cover only features the outline of the text leaving the rest free for customisation as the child sees fit.
