This stool is inspired by the Eastern (Chinese) attitude when facing their society and life, an implicit and restrained emotional expression.
"Our language and facial expression is not the way it looks like.People can easily find the way that fit into this complicated and twisted world.As for that implicit emotion, it drop, splash and be tranquility again."

這張凳子的靈感來自於東方人面對社會的態度，一種內斂的情感。
語言及表情都不是我們真實的面貌，而我們呈現給世界的往往是符合生存的那一面。然而那些隱藏的情緒，卻暗潮洶湧的傾瀉開來像是水滴般濺起又歸於平靜。

After I had an idea, I began to find out what kinds of texture is suitable for this stool.

Considerate of the meaning and the processing method, I decided to choose woods (Taiwan cypress) as it’s body.I thought woods can represent Chinese people, due to the silence but warm image it had. It also reveal that Chinese always takes time to think more than twice in mind , just like the material I choose (Taiwan cypress) took such a long time to growth.

有了初步的想法後，我開始尋找合適的材質去製作這張凳子。

在意義的考量與製作程序的拉扯下，選擇了木材(台灣檜木)來製作。我相信木頭的材質代表了一些中國人沉默但溫暖的特質。這材質也代表了中國人在心中思考籌畫的時間如同木材生長般漫長。
