Lightning in New York

Amazing Lightning over New York City...
Taken over multiple years and locations.
Having lived in New York city for over 20 years now most of my apartments have had views of the Empire State Building and also have had balconies. With these two things being together I would go out on my balcony when there were lightning storms and take pictures. Many of these were taken with film, yes film. I would shoot maybe 100 shots at a time and hopefully catch some lightning, percentage wise I would say about 3%. The Empire State Building is a lightning rod meant to catch the lightning when it hits and it does it pretty well. There are 2 photos that are not of the Empire State Building but are pretty amazing from a lightning storm on July 26, 2009. One of them is  a shape of a pig the other are 2 huge bolts, these are facing downtown taken from 24th street and 6th avenue.  My website is www.richardsilverphoto.com.
