A formative stage is presented through territory education. How we think, relate, interact is challenged and concepts about how we develop in the world and how we are going to in the future are formed. Relationships between work, our peers, our partners and ourselves a formed and broken and re formed again. Un-refined impressions form into a stuttered continuum. Tenuous lines of knowledge are strung out along this period. The concept of our environment to act as a medium for constant change is pivotal.

The typology of an urban secular apartment is no longer appropriate for a high rise solution to housing students. The building must act as a connecting tissue between the disparate nature of student life. The in-between is also a place for play and imagination, the solemn gestures of what we understand as individualised apartment living is replaced by a sharehouse mindset. The language of the house, the deck, the back yard, the bbq etc is retained and brought into focus with the hope of generating connections between housemates, neighbours and the city.
