Works In Progress

Works In Progress
These are all of the other works I want to present from this class. They are some of my favorites but for specific reasons they aren't my "best".
Art - Jason Pace - Photoshop
This is one of my favorite works in progress. I created this work after downloading an inking set and I wanted to test out all the brushes. I fell in love with them. I call this a WIP because I never really finished it. It has some of my personal favorite bits of line work in it and this is from the lesson on Mark and Line where you asked us to create our own brushes, I did that and downloaded a few extra.
Code 3 - Jason Pace - Photoshop
This was the first work I made for this class. I made this before I had my Wacom tablet and I call it a WIP because it is far from perfect. There is almost zero change in color and opacity because I had to manually change opacity when I wanted to do the effect of the light bar. I consider it to be a WIP due to the fact that I could redo this work, with a lot better coloring and lighting now. This was from our lesson on figure and ground.
Birch Forest Pano (Year) - Jason Pace - Photoshop
This is a piece I created for our lesson on Time and Space to answer a question. "How can I use a panorama to create the passage of time?" This image is based on a series of paintings that hang in my High School, a birch forest during the four seasons. Each frame representing a different season and the passage of time. I think it speaks for itself when I call it a Work in Progress as the piece itself was heavily rushed.
Self Portrait - Jason Pace - Photoshop
This was a piece I made during our lesson on Color and Value. I call this a work in progress because half of the image + a lil more is incomplete. With the sketch of my head, it is not fully colored in or is there any solid line work done. In contrast the jacket has solid outlining and form. It is honestly my favorite part about this piece. One thing that some may not realize is the blank spot. Where my phone was I do not want to be defined by the phone, whether it be I used a selfie to sketch off of, or that I have an iPhone. I want to be me.
Borealis - Jason Pace - Photoshop
This is a WIP since there are some edges on the photo of the cat that I want to remove, but wasn't able to. This was made during our lesson on transparency and opacity and I was trying to follow a difficult tutorial on Double Exposure. The idea I had came out the way I wanted but there are still some things that would change. In particular the empty black space.
The Golden Egg - Jason Pace - Photoshop
This was a piece I had made during our lesson on Asymmetry and Balance. The reason I considered it a Work in Progress due to the odd red shading I have included. I would definitely go back and remove that. Thinking back I am not exactly sure why I felt that I needed it on my work. I think I thought it would help me soften the edges. For this reason, I think this could use a lot of work. I think I was trying to show my use of thirds by leaving the areas open where the background is showing through.
Quidditch Snitch - Jason Pace - Photoshop
This is one of my favorites since I am an absolute Harry Potter fanatic. I drew this snitch design and used adobe capture during our lesson on Pattern. I consider it a work in progress since I would like to create the background myself next time instead of using a screenshotted image from Google. I think I would also add in a couple of quidditch players that were hand drawn as well.
