The Basement - Minimalistic lines

The Basement
Whatever the odds are, we would like to present you this project in a little bit strange and unexpected manner, namely starting with ….. the basement area, and probably staying there for a while. The reasons for this a bit oddly decision of ours we will point out later on.
Strictly speaking, this is a space which cultivates some thoughts and scatters others away. After all, a home shouldn’t only contain items, devices and living beings. It should help in the distraction of some type of energies and in accumulating other.
But what exactly is the basement? – Some magical and mystical place, somewhere down under, beyond the real world. We rarely visit it for no reason but only on special occasions- for repairing procedures, storing of stuff or just to see what’s been going on with that old bicycle of ours.

From a strictly emotional point of view we cannot think of someone who, being a child sent from his parents to fetch something from this dark and scary territory, haven’t sprinted as an Olympian along the stairs, after putting the lights out in that basement, just as all the dark demons are behind him. Yep, many of us have had this experience. The thing about this particular project is way different. The first thing that differs is this basement area will not make you search for any other space for work, leisure, time for a book or just for a few-minute solitude.   This place offers territory for practical storage of the important stuff (cause we all should know that things are two kinds: they are whether actually useful, or they only take precious space).

The wardrobe of this basement does not remind anything of the one in Narnia, but it is definitely more functional and keeps you in the real world. If you ever decide to punish the kids by sending them down for being in trouble, this is definitely not the place for that.
Two short and deep arm-chairs and soft rug provide the comfort for one or two. And in case of boredom fills up the atmosphere in the room, you could always ponder on the definitely mesmerising and abstract sculpture-like object in it.
Clean lines make the whole place look classically minimalistic, which offers the opportunity for an imaginary mind to add something else to the big picture later on.
The light in every corner of the room is soft. After all we are not at the backyard, aren’t we?

For quality relaxation, there’s the sauna. No need for exaggerations here, because we all know what sauna does to the tired bodies and weary minds.
Now, ignoring the jocular and playful tone, we could put it mildly and say that this place contains not too much, but enough items and ideas in it. Subsequently, those things communicate to each other, creating an effect which can be felt vividly after a few-minute quiet stay in this space. The nature-like materials and at first site dull colours make everything else in the room even more notable- and namely, they make way for the feeling of presence, which has to fill the room, they have a plan. And every home’s plan is to make way and sense for life.
