Ayala Malls has asked me to do a couple of Christmas paper bag designs for them. Ayala has 20 branches across the Philippines. The lay-outs are based on two of my go-to lettering styles: bubble & brush lette
Since the design was also going to be applied to their corporate seasonal cards, abstract was also explored. Here is an attempt to make the brush lettering complement the random brush strokes on the right.
May your days be Merry & Bright was also initially done in a traditional manner with watercolor. As the process proves, it seems a vector is more suitable for the overall look that the client wants to achieve.
Below is a sneak peek of the digitizing process from traditional media to graphics since the client requested that the work below be converted to a digital file.
