RESIDUAL - An art film about an artist who struggles to realize her creative vision during an intense period of introspection, pain and beauty.
‘Residual’ conjures an intensely personal look at the inner struggle of a creative soul looking to externalize her inner voice into tangible artistic expression. As the struggle moves forward, the artist dives in and out of her thoughts—bobbing up and down on the powerful swells of possibility. Trying to forge progress before the weight of her imagination comes crashing down around her. Only time will tell if this artistic quest will result in breakthrough, insanity or something else all together...
The film showcases Syban Velardi-laufer, a London based performance artist and costume designer who at the time was working on her collection for her Masters in fashion from Bunka university in Tokyo.
