Passion Always Begin Somewhere.
This project was to select a common object of day's past & promote it in modern day society through branding & a 15 second motion video. My object just so happened to be Boxing Gloves. My inspiration for the pieces you see below is a reflection of the "lifestyle" portrayed by arguably the best boxer in the world, Floyd Mayweather Jr., & a popular music track "Successful" by hip-hop artist Drake. In the video, I wanted to show through motion, a narrative of the song's lead chorus, and simultaneously explore the idea of a prized athlete's true passion for what he has become so great in. There's a reason why the superficial items passed through in the video are without color. However, the color in the items (Boxing Gloves, etc) that may have inspired the Boxer to initially get involved in the sport, suggests that his real passion for being successful comes from those things rather than the superficial facades that ultimately come secondary to any person that's great at their craft.
