While studying commercial printing at New York City College of Technology from 2001 to 2003, I took my first course in typography. One project in this course involved a series of illustrations using hand-drawn and inked lettering on small squares of Bristol board. These exercises lead to a subsequent decision to study graphic design at Savannah College of Art and Design, where I earned my BFA in 2007.
