The Paper Wall
Sculptural Installation
ThePaper Wall Installation is an In-Situ work developed on location inthe gallery room at Atelierhouse Espace Kugler in Geneva,Switzerland. It is a sequelled work in a series of Paper sculptureinstallations with the first part being “Paper Rain” installedand exhibited in Graz at an exhibition in 2010.

Thisshow is in a shared gallery space with a painter and a paper-cutter,hence the sculpture installation is confined to a wall space.

Afreestyle work it embraces the concept of dimensional “drawing”…a physical process of manually tearing long and varying sized stripsof paper from a printer roll, fastening it at various points andtwisting the desired form to shape the skeletal strata of afigurative landscape. Inspired by the featured drawings the paperforms extend a like expression as detailed in the fine lineillustrations.. a ‘transcendental’ extension of that expressed inthe drawings themselves.. one of melancholy, of ambiguity and one ofdetermination – reaching for desires..
