Getting recommendations socially! That’s one awesome app, that’s what came intomy head first time when I saw the brief. After a demo run with the client, I got a full hang of theconcept behind the application, and I was thrilled that I get to brand thisbrilliant piece of idea.
The Requirement
Needed an icon to be used in a variety ofplatforms, had to look good, scalable down to 16px, and still send out a strongmessage about the whole concept of the app.
The Concept
Whenever does recommends something itbecomes a conversation, or social dialogue, and R which is of course the firstletter on the word recommend itself is used as a base,
Using the negative space inside the letterR was the key, which made the logo simple yet strong and iconic.
