Here I Am, 2017
"...Unfortunately I can not come to you on Monday. I am prevented by the sudden death of my brother..."
The project is based on two found images: the first one is a photograph depicting a Bulgarian funeral, bought from the Flea market in Sofia; written on the back is the following: ”For my brother Ivan Bochev”. The second one is a color postcard found in Dresden, with the following text written on the back: "...Unfortunately I can not come to you on Monday. I am prevented by the sudden death of my brother..." The focus falls on the unusual connection between the two objects and the narrative that they create.
