CHALLENGE
Create new packaging solutions for Clas Ohlson's own brand of batteries while cooperating with the Swedish Rheumatism Association to make the packages easy to open for people with impaired hand ability.

RESULT
We created an easy-open packaging solution suitable for people with impaired hand ability and rheumatic disorders.The main focus was to improve the color coding for the various battery types to make it easier to tell them apart in the store.
We also redesigned the secondary packaging and through a more compact design we improved space utilization during transport and decreased material consumption. Finally, we redesigned the battery stand for the stores, creating an easier and better way to display the batteries including information about how to use them and how to recycle them.
