Elijah VanDine Political Campaign

Meet Elijah VanDine: Successful business owner, trustworthy entrepreneur, stay-at-home dad and the perfect candidate for the President of the Allen County PTO!

The components below were my contributions to a larger political campaign for a group project at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. The project had teams of students choose a candidate and market them for an upcoming election.
----------
The logo was developed to reinforce the candidate's last name while hinting at his platform for more bake sales. The portraits of Elijah were shot and edited with the intent to convey his charisma, charm and dedication to baking. The iconic "Eat your heart out" apron was airbrushed and is on display in his home, which is filled with scents of decadent cupcakes and delicious cookies.
Every candidate needs an engaging website to find success and connect with voters. The Elijah VanDine website asks supporters to make donations to his cause or help volunteer for upcoming events. Undecided voters are given the chance to learn more about the nominee while reading about his story and what he stands for. The copy on the website were written by me, as well as the design and portrait photography.

I also felt that the candidate would find it important for voters to know, beyond his introduction, about his favorite recipes. The recipe section gave his supporters a chance to feel a deeper connection with Elijah VanDine.
No campaign would be complete without a television spot. This TV ad paints the story of a great Allen County PTO President with a can-do attitude, and great baking skills.
Other components to the project included t-shirts, bumper stickers, tease & reveal billboards, posters for upcoming rallies and buttons. These elements were designed by other team members.
