Dreamscape Series
I created Surrealist Landscapes for an independent photography class. These images are the final of a Dreamscape series I have produced for the class.
My images have a linear narration discussing the process of dreaming. The first image starts with the awareness of a dream state and reality. The images then go from reality into the surreal state of a dream and back to reality. I have used common objects to create unexpected juxtapositions and manipulated the photographs to create impossible dream-like scenes and situations through the use of Photoshop.
In Photoshop I used multiple the photographs that I have taken throughout the semester to create the five finished images. I have placed many layers of different photographs with masks, blending modes, adjustment layers, transformations, and various filters to create each final dreamscape image. The dreamscapes were developed by placing multiple photographs on top of each other and blending them to create the seamless impossible dream scenes.
