James here is the subject of my latest self-promotion postcard. I send these babies out to my contacts, to publishers and to anyone else I think might be interested, every other month or so. It's a great way to bring in work, to generate new pieces for my portfolio and just have a play with new ideas or techniques. I always put an eye-catching full-colour image on the front, and a black and white image with my contact details on the back. Here, I've got James' seagull-tethered peach flying over New York. It was great fun to do; now they're out there in the world hopefully bringing me in some new work!
