Hangchair è un progetto sull'uso improprio degli oggetti archetipici, sviluppato durante il corso di semiotica tenuto da Stefano Caggiano all'Isia di Faenza.
Consiste nell'entrare, secondo una progettazione "sbagliata", nella "zona errore" di alcuni oggetti archetipici come sedia, libreria, lampada, sgabello ecc, per poi rientrare nella zona senso, ottenendo un oggetto modificato secondo gli usi impropri che la gente fa di questi oggetti, mantenendo comunque la sua funzione originaria
Da qui nasce la Hangchair basata sull'uso improprio che alcune persone ne fanno.

Hangchair is a project based on the improper use of archetypical objects, developed during the semiotics course of Stefano Caggiano at ISIA - Faenza.
It's developed starting with archetypical objects like the chair, the library, the lamp, etc, and breaking the rules, entering and leaving an "error zone", obtaining a modified object based on an improper but common use that people often do of it.
Hangchair came out with this method, observing what people do with chairs, not only for sitting...
