Formes de Luxe magazine is a bilingual French / English focused in the actuality of the packaging of luxury products. It is published six times a year in its paper version and it also offers several special editions. The website www.formesdeluxe.com is its digital mirror, covering additional information and publishing a newsletter every two weeks. Formes de Luxe is a brand of the group Infopro.
After showing them some of my sketches and illustrations, I was chosen to design the Mesure section, consisting in two double-pages of 280x280 mm in a Sappi Hanno Art Silk 115g/m2 paper.
When I think of mesure, accuracy and efficiency, I always think in complicated forms that are not part of our sensory world. I wanted to convey the effectiveness in a clear and direct way, with complex shapes that plotted the microscopic world. To represent the world of mesure, I had in mind the image of mountains and waves, becoming a powerful way to represent the complex machinary used in the mesure process, with statistics, complex and variable graphics.
The special issue was published in January 2012.
