Sculpture is a kind of recycling for me. We are just mediators.

Artvin is a city in Turkey, which has the most beautiful nature of the country. Nature is an inspiration fo rmy sculptures. It is impossible not to be affected in here. A dam has been done in our city and all the beauties of the nature will be gone. So I decided to make them immortal. My works which have been done in this area, owe their excistence to these lands, water and nature. A horse should be considered as a part of nature rather than just a horse. Everything which are believed to be dried , exists in any other way again. It is the expectation of the nature from us. Trees I use for my sculptures are junipers and spruce trees which will be flooded by the dam.
It can be said that beside the recycling it is also some kind of surfaced removal project.
