SOS is an orthotic company that specializes in the making of chairs for people with disabilities; my university was approached by the company to come up with a fun design that could be put on a chair suitable for children of the age roughly of nine years. The chair was to be made by the textiles side of university and given to the Rainbows Charity as a special jubilee present. The chairs roughly cost around £1000 to make, so having my design picked and be able to visit the children at the Rainbows hospice was a great achievement.
