Design analysis
Grill mainly protects units from damage but it is also an important part of the design with the enclosure. So, It can make some great first impression.
The slim and volume body of M2 is designed to visualize strong and powerful sound of high quality. But, the existing grille design is somewhat mediocre, so it does not match up the enclosure design and disturbs the overall design concept.
Concept
There are two design keywords in M2. Strong and smoothness. To express these two words through a grill, two visual keywords are chosen

Gladiator
Although the gladiator are treated such as slaves and used as tools for entertainment, they were symbol of strongness by themselves.
Tough and sharp arms what they used to attack the others or defense themselves had strong and impressive shape.
Based on them, grill similar with a gladiator mask and streamlined vertical blades are designed.

Wavy line
Smooth streamlined blades match up with the enclosure volume. Each blades spread along with body line like wave.
At the same time, edges of blades are twisted not to block and to visualize sound's spreading.
