Housebody is the installation, which I represented at art residence "Bereg" in Crimea in September 2016.
The main theme of the residence was "The body and physicality". This installation is a metaphore of human body.
It is clear and strange outside and full of details, thoughts, bones and blood inside.
Human body is a home for spirit and someone can be a visitor and know something personal after visit.
For this project I created many different items composing the body in order to fill this house.
The main character of the Housebody is the spirit with big soft heart.
Five keys from heart were hidden inside the Housebody.
Table with 90 hand-drawn match boxes with my different thoughts from usual daily stupid ones
to phrases from books or words, which I have heard from different people at art residence.
This is a metaphor of human brain with a lot of secrets inside.
Visitors could open boxes and read the writings.
The visitors could see my embroiderings on polyethylene with votive offerings
and 18 pencil and watercolor sketches about body, fears and emotions.
