After shooting this I blundered around on fog filled switch backs for two hours in the dark before I could have my cup of tea.
Porters are hardcore but don't overload them it's illegal and inhumane. Despite a law being passed to limit the sherpas given carry loads to 15kg (32lbs.) plus their own gear, many are still given back breaking loads in excess of 80lbs to haul mile after mile. Pack responsibly.
Looking down on the Ngozumpa Glacier from 17,575 feet. Nothing compares to the grandeur of The Himalayas.
From here 22,349ft (6812m) doesn't look so tall. The more I learn in life the more I reflect on perspective. The thought of climbing a 22,000 foot mountain seemed impossible... until I climbed to 18,500 feet.
