BeeHive Hexa
This project aims to improve the tools and manufacturing process of the apiculture industry. Our analysis and investigation, lead us to improve some of the problems detected on beehives, and their consequences on bees. The different solutions, are integrated in an innovative product, that provides one of the best honeys in the region.

Optimization level

Materials and processes available in the local market, exchangeable parts, assembled with just one manual tool to obtain an added technological value so the product can be competitive among foreign products.

Functionality
The modular system allows the apiarist to organize the elements according to his/her needs considering that all its parts are exchangeable. Its roof and floor also create internal ventilation thanks to its chambers of internal air, lowing the humidity levels inside the beehive.

Durability
Some of the PVC qualities are isolation, corrosion resistance, low weight, humidity insensitive; these characteristics remain unchanged against the action of an aggressive ambient usually seen in rural areas, enlarging the life of the product.
Low maintenance
It doesn't require any kind of coating for its preservation. Just washing the beehive with water and soap keeps its healthy.

Constructive rationality
Material rationalization in order to create a social and environmentally responsible product, giving a new use to wastes of the PVC apertures' industry.

Ergonomy
The beehive is planned together with an (anchor) system to the ground so the product remains secured and also to avoid falls. This system enables the organization of workspace more efficiently doing the control and extraction job in less time. Another quality is the work height which prevents wrongly done efforts in the lumbosacral area, diminishing the rate of lesions caused by overloads.
