The Digital Magazine is a dynamic magazine with different templates designed to give the user a new type of interaction with lots of widgets and features. Every magazine fits different viewports from desktop to smartphone. The project had been made for De Agostini Publishing in order to renew the editorial possibilities and create new market opportunities.

The navigation system let the user explore the magazine in horizontal and vertical ways, every article could be composed by different templates such as galleries, videos, hotspots, texts and many more.

The project began with a study of the navigation and the interaction of each template. I designed different widgets in order to fit different types of editorial content. Every page is made in HTML5 and tested on different devices and screen ratios. All the templates and functions (such as video streaming) are put together in the magazine platform to create each issue.

Every Digital Magazine could have its own styleguide. Starting from the basic layout of every template it is possible to change colors, fonts, images treatment. I designed a guideline with all the informations regarding the image production with dimensions and related templates to be used.

Every magazine finds its identity through the customization of the templates, in the examples below there are styles made for magazines regarding beauty, food and sport. This is an on-going project and new features and improvements are planned in order to enhance Digital Magazines.
