slow chemical orchestra
I started this group of paintings thinking about very traditional systems of composition used in rug weaving,
quilt making and geometric art in Mosques. I used systems like these as an architectural framework to build
the paintings around. As the work progressed, the traditional systems became undermined by the influence
of unrelated systems that I introduced, evolving into mongrels with a dose of euphoria as their common trait.
