This company needed a logo that was based around the idea of a "jazz cat" mascot. The company asked specifically for a cat that was similar in style to the Pink Panther, paired with a retro 60's or 70's font. The top image is my initial sketch of the design, followed by my first rendering. The bottom design is the final product.
