Editorial project and branding for a biologist.
Design of a doctoral thesis to obtain the title of Doctor: The thesis is about Cryptococcus neoformans, a pathogenic yeast that affects mainly HIV patiens. The visual style used has an innovative character reflecting the great advance in the research of this fungus. In this line, I used a san serif typography with sober style and chromatic palette bright and saturated. Therefore, this doctoral thesis moves away from classic visual conventions established for this type of projects.
The images were taken by electron microscopy and show 3 different states of Cryptococcus reproduction. Each state is represented by different colors: magenta, blue and green. These graphic elements highlight the circular form of Cryptococcus and the division that is generated during reproduction.
