For my diploma, I wanted to build a vehicle. The bicycle appeared the best to me because I’m a fan of bike. I made it of wood because it is a material rarely used in transportation design. It is also a material which enabled me to develop and build it myself in a short period of time. This bicycle is made for cruising. It has a large two seats saddle to be able to take a passenger. It is used to stroll and relax by the lake. Built in laminate birch, the bike is machined with a CNC. It holds with various metal parts such as screws or casings. The drawing is made to give the bike the aspect “old school” more modern. We can imagine to sell it in kit form. The customers would then assemble it themselves.
