Esta ilustração surgiu da vontade de desenhar minha namorada com a fantasia que ela usou para uma festa. Além disso, o de desenvolver minhas habilidades na aquarela.
This illustration came up from the desire to draw my girlfriend with the costume she wore to a party. Moreover, to develop my skills in the watercolor.
Depois de alguns esboços iniciais sobre o posicionamento da figura feminina no centro da composição, o desenho da mulher/entidade foi feito cercada de animais marinhos que fossem estranhos, perigosos ou misteriosos. A escolha dos objetos que ela segura (uma taça e uma faca) foram puramente simbólicos sem relação com a fantasia original. Após definido o desenho, começou a pintura com aquarela usando principalmente azuis, verdes e roxos, como pode ser visto abaixo.
After some initial sketches on the positioning of the female figure in the center of the composition, the drawing of the woman/entity was made surrounded by marine animals that were strange, dangerous or mysterious. The choice of the objects she holds (a glass and a knife) were purely symbolic unrelated to the original costume. After defining the design, was started the watercolor painting mostly blues, greens and purples, as seen below.
Uma parte do processo. O desenho inicial, somente com lápis 2B; os primeiros tons de azuis e violetas tanto na figura quando no fundo; e a pintura do fundo quase finalizada, faltando somente a figura feminina e os animais ao redor.
A part of the process. The initial drawing, only with 2B pencil; the first shades of blues and violets both in the figure as in the background; and the painting of the background almost finished, only missing the female figure and the animals around her.
Com o fundo finalizado, só faltava terminar a mulher ao meio e os animais usando cores que sobressaíssem nos azuis e verdes, ou se mesclassem a eles, o que foi decidido durante a finalização de cada elemento.
With the finished background, it was just needed to finish the woman in the middle and the animals using colors that standed out in the blues and greens, or merged with them, which was decided in the finalizing of each element.
