2780 Medlow Bath, August 2016 (Published)

In every corner of every Australian postcode is a chapter of the story waiting to be told. The Postcode Project is going to try to paint the whole picture and have every postcode in Australia represented by the people that live in them. These are the images I captured for Medlow Bath in postcode 2780.

'Medlow Park'
In addition to the features usually found in any Australian park and a tennis court that is completely free of charge to use, Medlow Park is also a memorial to those who lost their lives to AIDS related illnesses.  Plaques to the fallen, most lost at the height of the epidemic, are dotted throughout the park.
'Tracks in the mist'
When the mist rolls in, Medlow Bath seems like it is the only place that exists. On a misty morning like this, the railway line could lead anywhere. Perhaps right off the edge of the world.
'Belgravia'
The Hydro Majestic and its manicured grounds is Mark Foy’s Edwardian indulgence. It is impossible to separate the resort from the town. Time and again, Belgravia has alternately been destroyed by bushfire and faced it down. Time and again, Belgravia rises magnificently.
