The Festival of Progress
Bringing a digital platform to life
The Festival of Progress celebrated the second birthday of our journalistic start-up De Correspondent, as well as its double-digit growth. As co-founders, Momkai worked on the festival concept and created the complete festival identity. Connecting digital to physical, from wristband to website.
Seriously light-hearted
To capture the progressive nature of the festival we created an unorthodox visual language. A look and feel that conveys the festival feeling with a future essence. A motion-driven, light-hearted style that happily contrasts with the serious subjects at hand.
Crossing borders
Leaving no element, physical or digital, untouched we created a visual consistency that surrounded the visitor 360º. We designed all speaker presentations, posters, signage, stages and lighting, and created the festival website. An holistic approach that cultivates calm and creates deliberate distinctions where needed.
World of opportunities
The festival’s themes are represented by a collection of icons that form gif-like, infinite animations, presenting the future as a world of opportunities. The details in these, only spotted over time, kept the visitor visually interested from noon to 3 o’clock at night.
