These two illustrations were created on the basis that Heinz wanted a campaign which was fun, quirky and sightly cheeky. So I had the idea of creating cartoon characters which were dancing in salad cream, just like burlesque dancers.
The tagline I created for this project was 'ooh saucy'. It is a play on the alternate word for 'condiment' as well as the word 'saucy' which is a word used to describe risque behaviour.
I wanted the cartoons to be bright, simple and eye catching, I also backed each design with the iconic shape of the Heinz logo to give the illustrations more depth.
