Big Bend National Park, West Texas
Leadership Education Facility
The complex serves as a transitional space for groups to learn about the natural environment around them before and after week long hiking and camping expeditions. Being at the location for only about two days at a time the building serves for briefing and debriefing students with flexible indoor and outside rooms. The bunk cabins face east for optimal views ofthe morning sunrises. The Kitchen/Dining room and Classroom force viewers to focus on landscape phenomenonsin the distance which include large mesa outcroppings, sparce patches of vegitation, a river gorge, and a hot spring.
