Conduit is a reading lamp inspired by St Hallvards Church located in Oslo's suburb of Enerhaugen. Conduit was designed to ask the user to invest time in order to understand its function. This was a second year design project conducted at HiOA School of Product Design Norway.

The church had very low lighting inside, this required time to become accustomed.
This motion is the proposed on switch for the lamp.

The steel arm was integrated with wiring providing power to the LED bulb.
A spring and line mechanism was devised to allow the lamp's head to stay elevated.
