For my final exam I created this newspaper specifically as a preparation for the football match Netherlands-Germany.
Because the world of football is full of superstition I collected all kind of facts about every match played between the Netherlands and Germany.
Because the world of football is full of superstition I collected all kind of facts about every match played between the Netherlands and Germany.
I have collected these facts by watching all the 38 previous matches between these two countries.
With all the information I collected I started to design infographics wich told the story of these 38 matches.
Gradually my research got out of hand. For example, as I found out that the Netherlands never won from Germany when the referee was bald and the fact that the Netherlands won more games from Germany when the teamcaptain had a mustache.
These infographics together with stories about the history of 'the game' form a newspaper full of information and fun facts. The perfect preparation for June 13, 2012!
Unfortunately Bert van Marwijk never done anything with all this information, so the Netherlands lost the game. And I was left with my newspapers.
