Union Square Magazine
The assignment was to create several layouts for a fictional magazine called "Union Square". Union Square is an area in Manhattan, New York. I chose to base my magazine layouts on the plants and animals found in the park, there.
Although the sparrow is common in cities all over the northeast, I thought this shot of the lone bird was a great cover to illustrate animal life among man-made structures.
The grey squirrels in New York City are so used to being fed by the passerby, they're also willing to pose for the camera.
