This is a follow up project of the Adjective Translation project. I mentioned in the description of the previous project that I had been assigned to concentrate on one single word for eight weeks, that word being old.
In celebration of the holiday season, this project continued with the construction of Christmas ornaments. I took this secondary project as a opportunity to make a series that was cohesive with my owl mask.
The owl ornaments were created by applying individual paper feathers, reminiscent of those applied to the mask. The colors were carefully chosen as colors associated with old age. Each ornament is about the size of a softball.
