Alpini – a contemporary essay
When documentary photographer Nicoló Degiorgis began working on the project «Alpini» he knew that he didn't want to glorify the italian mountain military. The book shows the human face of active and retired soldiers at their festivities, proudly showing memorabilia or dressed as Santa Claus.
Project initiated by the department of italian culture, province of Alto Adige–Südtirol.
