This is a project for my Senior year Orbital and Space Dynamics class. The purpose of this project is to determine which of nineteen major cities in theUnited States can be hit by an ICBM launched from a missile silo in Iran and the mostprobable trajectory for each missile. MATLAB was used to create several programswhich plot the maximum missile range on the oblate Earth spheroid. A list of major UScities considered in the project is presented along with the launch parameters: azimuth(Az), elevation (El), v, and time of ight (TOF) needed to hit the cities in range.A plot of the missile ground track (rotating and non-rotating) is provided as well. Theproject determined that twelve of the nineteen U.S. cities are within the range of anICBM from Iran.
