4shared for Nokia Asha

The 4shared application allows users to store their files on the web and access them on the go from a phone. They can easily share files, see what others are sharing through search, upload camera pictures and be sure that all of their photos, docs, videos and other files stay safe in 4shared web account.

What are main features of the app? The user can search for files on 4shared by keyword or use advanced search and add files to the 4shared account. The user can browse 4shared account, copy, move, rename and download files, create and delete folders. The user can upload camera pictures and other files from local storage. The user can manage ongoing uploads and downloads. The user can browse locally available files. The user can preview files and share them.

Our main task as for designers was to create the design of app for Nokia Asha 501 and supporting documents (functional guidelines and style kit for developers). We had some limitations. We couldn't create stuff out of Nokia Asha 501 guidelines and we had to be fast as possible that is why we couldn't spend time on beautiful illustrations and clever icons. So, we tried to be smart as possible in usability, accessibility and other things that our users needed. Let us present our final work.
