My role at this small screen-printing company was to create mock-up specs for clients who sent over designs that they wanted on garments (mostly t-shirts, occasionally tote bags and towels). I would take the design that the client emails over, and using a ruler and a pantone booklet, judge what the best size and pantone colors would be. If the mock-up was approved, I would proceed by creating the necessary film separations, using Photoshop or Illustrator, and bring them to the production floor. A sample garment with the printed design would then be brought up to the office, and we would judge the quality before proceeding with the full deliverable order for the client.
